Ardyn Gibbs (they/them) is an emerging queer and trans, settler-Indigenous (Mohawk from Six Nations of the Grand River) artist, designer, and arts worker based on the territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (Hamilton, Ontario). 

Ardyn’s work integrates digital new media technologies with material practices to explore themes of queer futurity, digital dreaming, and the visibility and legibility of queer bodies in public spaces. They are interested in examining how our embodied experiences shape how we understand and relate to the world around us. 

Their practice is grounded in collective dreaming and placekeeping. Ardyn’s work is constantly changing, adapting and growing alongside the world around them.

They hold a B.F.A. (Hons) in Studio Arts with a Minor in Community Engagement from McMaster University. Notable exhibitions and projects include Zine Artist in Residence at McMaster University (2024/2025); Persistent Desires at Xpace Cultural Centre in Toronto (2025); TENDER LIKE A BRUISE at the Hamilton Artists Inc. (2025); Hot Dreams at ED Video in Guelph (2024); Passing at Factory Media Centre in Hamilton (2024); A Sex Show at Gallery 1313 in Toronto (2022). Ardyn has worked as a designer with CBC Arts, Trans Library Toronto along with various independent authors and artists internationally.
